Argentina DJ Diary - Gaz Whelan
Sunday 19th November 2006
Rourkie left in the morning which left only me and Kav so we spent the day sleeping and watching English football on TV with Spanish commentary. We were to fly out early evening and planned to spend the flight sleeping so we headed out around 6 p.m. to eat. It was a clear summer evening and we headed back to the Cuban restaurant which we had frequented two nights before, I know, I know but the food was excellent and we knew it would be empty due to the early time. It was great hardly anyone there yet and different waiters as well… we think? All clear. We were escorted out towards the back terrace which we were unaware existed. Below us was the 'boardwalk' were couples and families casually strolling by the banks of the river enjoying the summer Sabbath as we were shown to a cosy table for two set high above every other table in the restaurant overlooking the river, very romantic. This was even worse than the previous two evenings but we didn't care, we were going home. We ordered brightly coloured cocktails and left for the airport.
Argentina had been very palatable indeed, fantastic people some of the friendliest we have ever met and I look forward to returning with the band
Four days off then Prague! Till then ADIOS.
